The Answer

SEMA is extremely busy and not ideal for in-depth partnership discussions - use it for brief introductions, handing a card, and scheduling follow-up conversations for after the show. Be conscious of people's time and 'as invisible as possible' while making an impact. PRI is more focused on racing, more personal, and allows for better conversations. For either show, read the room, don't interrupt ongoing conversations, and suggest following up 'when all this craziness is done.' The goal at shows is to start relationships, not close deals.
